Prof. Dr. Cengiz Bahadır

Prof. Dr. Cengiz Bahadır was born in 1969 in Samsun. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and started his specialization training in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the same faculty in the same year. After completing his specialization training, he finished a master’s program in electrodiagnostic neurology (EMG) at Marmara University Institute of Neurological Sciences between 1997 and 2000.

He worked at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital from 1997 to 2009. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked at Erenköy Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, and in 2010, he received the title of Associate Professor (Doçent). In 2015, he became a Professor.

His areas of special interest include radiculopathies (pain related to lumbar and cervical disc herniations), non-surgical treatment of lumbar and cervical disc herniations, electrodiagnostic examinations for muscle and nerve diseases (EMG), transcranial magnetic stimulation, musculoskeletal ultrasound, arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis), muscle pain, and joint-soft tissue injections. His research and work have focused on these areas.

He has published more than 40 articles and book chapters in international and national journals, and he has presented numerous papers at international congresses. Prof. Dr. Cengiz Bahadır has participated in many courses related to EMG (clinical neurophysiology), rheumatology, and musculoskeletal ultrasound and has also served as an instructor in national and international EMG courses.

Prof. Dr. Cengiz Bahadır continues his clinical work at Medipoint Medical Center.
